Vietnam Visa Fee for Burmese Citizens

Visa Exemption and Fee Details for Burmese Citizens

According to the Visa Restrictions Index, “Myanmar citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 42 countries and territories, ranking the Myanmar passport 95th in the world in February 2016.”

The recent change in Immigration law of Vietnam has offered visa exemption for Burmese citizens for 14 days. Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that the Vietnam and Burma governments had signed an agreement that would also allow Vietnam passport holders to visit Burma without a visa, so long as the trip was less than 15 days.

Like other European countries, Burmese citizens can apply for Vietnam visa by two methods namely,

  • Applying for Vietnam visa in an embassy

Applying Vietnam visa by visiting a Vietnam embassy is a hectic task and you should carry a bundle of required documents to present them before the officials to get your visa approval letter. Moreover, you have to wait for 8 to 9 days to get your visa approval letter via mail.
