The Vietnam e-Visa is an electronic travel authorization which allows travelers to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days, single entry. China is one of the eligible countries that may apply for this type of visa (Contry list for Vietnam e-visa). What makes this type of e-visa better than visa on arrival is that you can cut queues at the visa office to pick up your visa, which makes it more appealing for Chinese tourists. There is also no need to go to the embassy or consulate since you may apply for this visa online. All you need is a smart tablet, phone or computer with WiFi and you are all set. The e-Visa has reduced the time it takes to process paperwork too and therefore it usually does not take as long time to receive the visa.
Do note that all Chinese citizens must acquire a visa before entering Vietnam. This rule applies to Chinese nationals who hold passports for Macau or Hong Kong as well. The Vietnam tourist e-visa for Chinese citizens is easy to get for travelers who hold both Chinese, Hong Kong or Macau passports. Once the e-visa has been approved of, an email will be sent with a PDF. Make sure that you print out the e-visa so you can present it to the border control once you’ve landed in Vietnam.

If you want to stay longer 30 days or want a multiple entry visa, please choose visa on arrival option instead of e-visa (30 days, single entry)
