Vietnam e-visa for Filipino

Traveling to Vietnam for Filipinos has become much easier ever since the Vietnam government introduced the Vietnam e-visa for Filipino which makes it possible for you to look for a visa without living your office or home.

A large number of people from the Philippines visit Vietnam every year to either have a vacation or to do business. The prospect of traveling to the country using Vietnam e-visa for Filipino makes it even more enticing compared to other countries that may have long inconvenient visa application methods.

Claiming a visa online with the passport confuses most travellers looking to apply online. Well by the end of this you will understand it better. First, let us mention what you would require to be eligible for a Vietnam visa.

Requirements

Passport: Your passport is the primary document. It needs to be valid for at least 6 months from the time that you plan to enter the country. The passport should also have a minimum of 2 leaflets for placing the visa stamp, on arrival at the airport. Hopefully, you are starting to understand how the e-visa works. Have scanned copy of the passport when applying for the visa.

Photo: You will need 2 passport size photos as well as a digital copy which will be sent to the immigration when you apply for the Vietnam e-visa for Filipino. Photo-requirements.

Payment: You will need to make a visa payment online. This means apart from having the funds for the visa, you msut have an accepted payment method like a credit card or a PayPal account. Alternatively, you would need to ask someone to make the payment on your behalf if they have the approved method.

Email: You need to have an active email address. This is because communication with you will be done using email.

Internet: Naturally you will need to have access to the internet where you will make your application and submit it.

Visa Exemption

Not everyone needs to have a visa to get into Vietnam. Since Philippine is part of ASEAN, its nationals are exempted from the need for a visa. Especially, if they are visiting Vietnam for 21 days or less. If you think your visit will not exceed 21 days then the e-visa is not your concern. Then you can very well head to Vietnam where you will be granted entry on arrival.

Visa on Arrival

There is also an option for visa on arrival. This visa is for people who do not fall under the category of this visa. Note that the Vietnam e-visa for Filipino is for a period of 30 days so anyone staying for longer than that would need to get a visa on arrival. The process of acquiring the visa remains almost similar to the e-visa. The only thing that stands that you get an approval letter, which you present on arrival at the airport so that you are given the actual visa.

Applying for the e-visa

The application process takes place online. Most people will use an agent to help them ensure they get the visa. You would have to access the application form and then provide honest answers to the questions there. The questions will include some that seek to verify the information on your passport like passport number, country of origin, date of birth, and so on. Do not give fake names and ensure you fill in every mandatory field.

You will need to ensure you choose the correct visa. Choosing the wrong application can be the reason for the rejection of the visa and you would have to reapply.

Once after filling the form, you can submit it. Make sure that you have provided your email. Also, make sure to enter the letters in the right case, a wrongly spelled email address can cost a lot on your visa.

The waiting process usually takes a few working days. This means if you apply on a Friday, you will need to wait a bit longer. Meanwhile, Saturday and Sunday are not considered working days.

Price

The pricing for the online application may vary according to the agent you use as well as the visa you apply for. Check online to get a clear calculation. You must pay the fee in cash and a single entry visa costs $25. You may want to confirm that price before you get there just in case it may have been changed. Note that you cannot get a multiple entry visa online. You would need to receive it on arrival after securing an approval letter.

Once you receive the visa online, you can print it and head over to the airport. You will present the printed visa along with passport size photos and make the stamp payment, after which your passport will be stamped.
